Although led by the Scottish Government, the Scottish Model of Procurement is owned by all of the Scottish Public Sector with the aim of promoting the power of public spending to deliver genuine public value beyond simply cost and /or quality in procurement.

While it is essential that the Scottish Model of Procurement is integral to all procurement activity across the Scottish Public Sector, it is equally important that Senior Leadership Teams and Heads of Procurement provide the required leadership and governance to ensure the Procurement Function is appropriately engaged in delivering the strategic and operational goals and objectives.
